The Lombardy Cosmetics Cluster born in 2025, after several years of partnership agreement between universities and main industrial actors, and formally recognized in February 2026 as Lombardy Technological Cluster by Lombardy Region, with the mandate to dialogue at European level. It born as a partnership between industrial actors, research actors and istitutional entities; the main aim is to give recognition to a growing relevance sector in Lombardy, with a strong weight in the economy of the region, despide the macro-economics scenario. The partnership want to stimulate collective investments for digital and green transition and support the development of skills for cosmetics industry for your people and support and reskilling and upskilling of the workforces.

The Cluster was created to bring together all the players in the cosmetics value chain.

Polo della Cosmesi - Member of Lombardy Cosmetics Cluster - was born in Crema in 2005, one of third-party industrial districts of excellence for the cosmetics production, with the aim of boosting the cooperation among the companies of the sector and encouraging the development and quality. Today it is a dynamic well organised association which operates on a national and international level and which groups together more than 100 companies of the cosmetic and make-up market: from bulk/product to filling process, from primary to secondary packaging, from decorations to labels, from assembling to automated machines building, from product design to R&D. Companies with an aggregated turnover of more than 800 milion euros, expression of quality, innovation, know how in the cosmetics and make-up field. Polo della Cosmesi is partner also of GCC-Europe program.
